weddingregpic.gif (9286 bytes) Many brides-to-be will often create a list of desirable tabletop items for their wedding gifts. At first glace it might seem awkward and demanding, however, the bridal registry is a great convenience for couples and for those who wish to give them gifts.

We're here to help you get it all sorted out with 10 tips for a great wedding registry.

1. Discussion of general wants and needs. Together, decide on your colors and decorating styles.

2. Take time when choosing your patterns as they will be with you for a lifetime.  The most popular items that are registered are fine sterling silverware, china and crystal stemware.

3. Make sure you come together.  This list is for both of you.  

4. Choose a time when the store is going to be least crowded.

5. When making your selections for bed linens and towels, keep in mind you will need three sets each.  One to have out, one for the linen closet and one in the laundry.

6. Register early so guests will have time to shop for your gifts.

7. Keep in mind the geographical locations of your guests in mind when choosing a store.

8. Be specific on your registry.  List brand name, color names, pattern name and quantities.

9. Remember to register for a wide variety of items and price ranges. Don't be afraid to register for a couple of high priced items, often there are groups of people who prefer to go in together for one large gift.

10. Remeber this is your wish list.  Be creative and have fun!
